Terms of Service
Last updated 1 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and us about using Humo. Please read them. By using the app you accept them.
1. Who you are agreeing with
Humo is operated by Max Chernousov Advisory Services (KvK 97206261), a sole trader registered in the Netherlands, trading as Humo.health.
Contact: privacy@humo.health
2. What Humo is
Humo is a general wellness and lifestyle app. It brings together three sides of your life — how you spend your time, how your body is doing, and how you feel — to help you grow your self-awareness and find balance, and it offers routines you can schedule into your day.
Humo shows you patterns and connections in your own information so you can notice things for yourself. It does not tell you what caused anything.
3. What Humo is not
Humo is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.
It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate or prevent any disease or condition. The scores, reflections and check-ins in the app are for self-awareness and general wellness only. They are not clinical assessments, not a diagnosis, and not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.
Some reflections in Humo are adapted from published questionnaires used in research. Their presence in a wellness app does not make the result a clinical finding.
If you are concerned about your physical or mental health, please speak to a doctor or another qualified professional. If you are in crisis or may be at risk of harming yourself, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line immediately. Humo is not an emergency service and cannot help you in an emergency.
Never disregard professional advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you saw in Humo.
4. Your account
You need an account to use Humo. You can create one with Apple, Google, or your email address.
You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure. Please tell us at privacy@humo.health if you think someone else has got into it.
You must be 16 or older to use Humo.
One person, one account. Please do not share your account.
5. Subscriptions
Humo is a paid app with an auto-renewing subscription.
Free trial. New subscribers may be offered a free trial. If you are, the app tells you how long it lasts and the date it would convert before you confirm anything. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, it becomes a paid subscription automatically.
Prices and terms. The price, billing period and any trial length are shown in the app before you buy, and on the App Store. Prices vary by country and may change; if a price changes, Apple will tell you and ask you to agree before renewing at the new price.
Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Your Apple Account is charged at confirmation of purchase and again on each renewal.
How to cancel. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings — on your device, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. You can also reach this from Humo's Settings screen. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. Neither does deleting your Humo account — please cancel with Apple separately.
Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies, not by us. Request one through Apple.
Restoring a purchase. If you reinstall Humo or move to a new device, use "Restore Purchases" on the subscription screen.
6. What you can and cannot do
You may use Humo for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
Please do not:
- copy, resell, rent or redistribute the app or its content
- reverse-engineer or decompile it, except where law says you may
- extract or redistribute the questionnaires, question text, or scoring content — some of it is licensed to us from third parties and is not ours to give away
- use it in a way that breaks the law, or try to break into it
- present Humo's output as a clinical or diagnostic result to anyone
7. Your content
Anything you create in Humo — routines, notes, answers — stays yours. We claim no ownership of it.
We need a limited permission to store and display it back to you so the app works, and nothing beyond that. We do not use your content to train anything, and we do not publish it.
Most of what you create never leaves your device. What does is set out in our Privacy Policy.
8. Our content
The app, its design, text, and the way it presents information belong to us or to our licensors. Some questionnaire content is licensed from third parties and remains theirs.
9. Your privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what happens to your information. The short version: your health, calendar and reflection data stay on your phone.
10. Things we cannot promise
Humo is provided as it is. We work hard on it, but we cannot promise it will always be available, never contain a mistake, or suit any particular purpose you have in mind.
Humo depends on Apple Health, your calendar, and your own answers. If that information is incomplete or wrong, what Humo shows you will be too.
To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Where the law allows us to limit our liability, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
If you are a consumer, you keep all the rights your local law gives you. Nothing here takes those away.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands, and disputes go to the competent courts there.
If you are a consumer resident in the EU or UK, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of your own country, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts. EU consumers can also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
Please email us first. Most things are quicker to fix directly.
12. Apple
You are also bound by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms are between you and us, not Apple — Apple is not responsible for Humo, for support, or for any claim about it. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you.
13. Ending this agreement
You can stop at any time by deleting your account in the app, and cancelling your subscription with Apple.
We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. If we do, we will tell you why unless the law prevents us.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will give you reasonable notice in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Humo after that means you accept the new terms. If you do not accept them, you can stop using Humo and cancel.
